Support Within Housing Program

Peace Ranch offers a structured 24/7 congregate living opportunity on the 25 acre farm, to adults with schizophrenia who want to pursue recovery and wellness in a rural environment. Using a Psychosocial Rehabilitation model, therapeutic programs are fundamental to the Peace Ranch experience.

Life skills training enables our residents to live more meaningful independent lives. The simple routines of banking, housecleaning, cooking and laundry are tasks that most of us take for granted but these routines become a large part of developing success. Our residential counselors work one on one to coach, instruct and encourage our residents to achieve their goals and boost their self confidence at the same time.

The lovely rural setting of Peace Ranch provides a unique backdrop to a quality housing program that is like no other in the province. Stress is a naturally reduced in this peaceful and tranquil environment and the often impersonal cement and steel of the city melts away among the rolling green lawns of the ranch. Truly a gem of Caledon, Peace Ranch offers the quiet and serene essence of its name.

Peace Ranch also sponsors a graduated housing opportunity at our two townhouses in Brampton, providing weekly group support to the tenants. This is also specific to adults with schizophrenia and geared to those who can live with greater independence. This program is also available to applicants outside the farmhouse community.

Peace Ranch understands that this is a very desirable program within the mental health community and promotes equal accessibility and best services to our clients.
