Peace Ranch provides an opportunity for adults with serious mental illness to work toward a more self-reliant and satisfying life through paticipation in a residential thereapeutic farm community.

Nestled in over 25 acres of serene countryside, Peace Ranch is a nonprofit therapeutic farm community located in Caledon, Ontario, just north of Toronto.

Established in 1996, Peace Ranch is the only working therapeutic farm community in Canada, and one of a small group in the world dedicated to helping people with mental illness heal.
The Goals of Peace Ranch

  • Peace Ranch offers adults with mental illness an opportunity to grow in a nurturing, trusting environment where residents learn to live independently as they contribute to the greater community good in a setting where they feel needed.

  • Peace Ranch’s program is based on a therapeutic community experience, with staff and residents living and working together. Residents will be able to manage psychiatric symptoms and illnesses; develop life skills; gain confidence and courage; and live healthy, productive and meaningful lives.
