Equestrian Program

Peace Ranch offers an Equestrian Program every Friday, conducted by a certified therapeutic riding instructor. Peace Ranch has 4 horses in total; 2 full sized: Jamie, the thoroughbred and Black Velvet, our Percherons as well as 2 minis: Maggie and Pierre. This program is open to people with mental illness living in the community who are interested in learning about horses and their care.
Peace Ranch's wonderful therapeutic riding program has lost one of our riding horses and we are trying to find a quiet, well tempered, older horse to replace her. We are a non-profit organization and are hoping that someone may have a horse they would like to donate (receipts are possible). This program is so beneficial to so many. Please know that your horse would be loved and very well taken care of by people with over 20 yrs experience. They would also have acres of field to play in and have the company of a sweet paddock pal.
Peace Ranch is looking for a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor with CTRII or higher to lead our Equestrian Therapy Program. The program runs on Friday afternoons for approximately 3 hours. It would be ideal if the candidate could support annual and special events as well. Please contact Jim Hotson, Property Manager, at jim@peaceranch.com.
